US Bankruptcy Judge Marvin Isgur approved Belk’s Chapter 11 plan with just a one day turnaround following the pre-filing muster of creditor support. According to the article, Belk, like many retailers, was hard-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. The restructuring will allow the company to keep all of its doors open and workers employed.
O’Melveny partners Joseph Zujkowski and Daniel Shamah and associate Adam Haberkorn advised first lien lenders on the deal.
