Law360 noted that William Martin has joined the firm’s New York office as counsel. Martin hails from the SEC, where he served as senior counsel in the Enforcement Division’s market abuse unit.

In his prior role, Martin prosecuted a prominent medical devices company in a case of books and record failure, resulting in an US$8 million settlement.. He also helped oversee a crackdown on banks that allegedly issued American depository receipts without obtaining the actual shares to back them up.
