The Journal News: Standard Amusements Says Westchester has ‘Imagined Claims’ in Contract Breach

O’Melveny is representing Standard Amusements in a breach of contract dispute with New York’s Westchester County, this article reported. The county is attempting to break it’s 30 year contract with Standard, which in a memorandum, accused the county of trying to “sabotage” the park through reports that outlined concerns about food and ride safety, The Journal News noted. “Having spent dozens of pages accusing Standard of wasting taxpayer dollars, purposefully alienating its CEO, and lying to government officials, the County professes outrage that Standard dared to publicly question the County’s safety practices at Playland,” the memorandum, authored by O’Melveny lawyers, read.
