Syracuse.com: Axe: Vonn Read’s First Impression as Acting Women’s Basketball Coach was an Airball

An exodus of 17 players from last year’s Syracuse women’s basketball team has resulted in a number of new faces on this year’s squad. Quentin Hillsman, the team’s former head coach, resigned over the summer after accusations of bullying and inappropriate behavior. Vonn Read, Syracuse’s acting head coach, worked under Hillsman for a decade but, in a recent press conference, did not care to comment on his time with the former coach. He did, however, note his willingness to partake in an independent review that O’Melveny conducted to examine the reported inappropriate culture. Syracuse has not released details of the review to the public.
