The Washington Post: The DC Council Needs to Decide What to Do About Jack Evans

November 08, 2019

O’Melveny’s report on DC Councilman Jack Evans is cited in this opinion piece by Colbert King, which urges the rest of the council to avoid “foot-dragging” in upcoming proceedings regarding his ethics violations.

While Evans maintains his innocence, he is now facing the “report from O’Melveny & Myers, the law firm hired by the D.C. Council — which in 97 pages cites 11 instances of his violating ethics rules by taking action that helped his employers or clients, who paid him more than $400,000,” Colbert writes in the article.
