O’Melveny & Myers LLP advised a group of private investors on an agreement to acquire PureWest Energy LLC, a Rocky Mountain independent natural gas producer, for US$1.84 billion in cash. The consortium included A.G. Hill Partners LLC, Cain Capital LLC, Eaglebine Capital Partners LP, Wincoram Asset Management, Petro-Hunt LLC, Fortress Investment Group, and HF Capital LLC. The O’Melveny team was led by partners Whit Roberts and Jason A. Schumacher.
