The Wall Street Journal: Stadium Weeds Out Disruptive Fans With Facial Recognition

A Danish soccer team has begun using a facial-recognition system to bar rowdy fans from the stadium. Business and law enforcement in the US have also adopted the technology to boost security efforts, although privacy advocates and lawmakers are pushing back with facial-recognition bans.

O’Melveny special counsel Scott Pink said he expects to see more such regulation. “If businesses feel like this is worth rolling out, they need to really think about and anticipate where the law may go—like when to give notice and how to get consent,” he said.
