Law360: Trimmed Internet of Things Bill Could Still Carry Weight

Data Security & Privacy Co-chair Steve Bunnell discussed a proposed Internet of Things bill in Congress, which would allow the Commerce Department to create security standards for IoT devices bought by the federal government.

“I see this as the low-hanging fruit and something that makes sense as far as it goes,” said Bunnell. “Generating some forward momentum is important and definitely worth doing.”

He continued: “It doesn’t mean you do this and stop. You do it and keep working.”
