Variety: Netflix Sued Again for Poaching — This Time by Activision Blizzard

O’Melveny is representing Activision Blizzard in its employee-poaching suit against Netflix. Activision Blizzard is accusing Netflix of showing “contempt” for state employment law when it poached the company’s chief financial officer two years ago, Variety reported.

Fox and Viacom have previously taken Netflix to court for enticing employees in the middle of fixed-term contracts and offering to pay their subsequent legal fees, the publication indicated. O’Melveny partners Daniel Petrocelli and Molly Lens successfully represented Fox in a similar suit in which Netflix argued that Fox’s employment contracts were unenforceable. Variety noted that in the Fox case, a judge ordered Netflix not to poach additional personnel.
