Daily Journal Again Recognizes Dan Petrocelli As One of the Top Lawyers in California

September 21, 2017
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CENTURY CITY, CALIFORNIA—September 21, 2017—The Daily Journal has named O’Melveny partner Daniel Petrocelli to its Top 100 list for the fifth consecutive year.

The profile highlights Petrocelli’s two decades as a “high-profile litigator,” mentioning his work convicting OJ Simpson in a wrongful death lawsuit, securing numerous wins for now President Donald Trump in the Trump University class action, and dismissing a lawsuit against Manny Pacquiao and others resulting from the 2015 “Fight of the Century” against Floyd Mayweather.

“We think that (Pacquiao) ruling is very important because it affirms a very important principle: people who are disappointed in the outcome of a live performance are not entitled to get their money back because they don’t like the outcome,” Petrocelli told the Daily Journal.

Petrocelli is the chair of the firm’s Trial Practice Committee. He has a national trial practice representing clients in major litigation in a wide variety of areas, including sports, entertainment, intellectual property, unfair competition, business torts, securities, employment law, and criminal defense.
