Erramouspe, Petrocelli Highlighted for Work with High-Profile Clients on Both Sides of the Pacific

LOS ANGELES -- April 21, 2016 -- O’Melveny partners Matthew Erramouspe and Daniel Petrocelli were recognized by entertainment trades as two of the most “influential lawyers in Hollywood.”

As part The Hollywood Reporter’s Power Lawyers feature, the publication highlighted Erramouspe’s work “on both sides of the Pacific,” working with Chinese juggernaut Alibaba on its expansion into Hollywood. He also negotiated a joint venture for Warner Bros. with China Media Capital to launch a Chinese-language movie studio called Flagship Entertainment.

Petrocelli also was recognized by The Hollywood Reporter, calling out his representation of Warner Bros., Manny Pacquiao, Kesha, and Fox, among others. The article also talked about Petrocelli’s long history as a successful trial lawyer, citing his work on the OJ Simpson civil trial, Jeffrey Skilling case, and the decades-long Winnie the Pooh litigation for Disney.

Similarly, Variety named Petrocelli in its 2016 Legal Impact Report, further detailing his success in securing a motion to dismiss in a lawsuit brought by music producer Dr. Luke, Kasz Money Inc., and Prescription Songs against his client Vector Management; and winning summary judgment for Fox in a trademark infringement lawsuit over the use of the word “Empire” in Fox’s hit show.
