Fortune Names O’Melveny Best Workplace for Millennials; Vault Gives Top Honor for Firm Culture

Los Angeles—June 29, 2017—This week, both Fortune and Vault recognized O’Melveny for being a place where people like to come to work. Fortune named O’Melveny one of the 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials, making it one of only five law firms on the 2017 list and calling out its mentorship, collegial environment, and its commitment to community. Vault awarded O’Melveny with top honors for Firm Culture and named the firm in the top three for Best to Work For, Overall Diversity, and Best Summer Program.

The Best Workplaces for Millennials list is based on the results of a Great Place to Work survey of more than 398,000 US employees from Great Place to Work-Certified companies and ranked companies based on three factors. These include key Great Place to Work metrics, a comparison of millennial results to other generations,’ and consistency of experience among millennial employees regardless of their role or position. Surveys were conducted anonymously, and millennials’ results achieved at least a 95 percent confidence level with a seven percent margin of error for each organization.

The Vault Survey ranked the firm second for Best Summer Associate Program, third for Best Firm to Work For, and third for Overall Diversity, marking the first time O’Melveny placed in the top three for Overall Diversity. In addition, the firm placed in the top ten of the Vault’s 19 underlying “Quality of Life” categories, including coming in first for Firm Culture.
