Four Century City Partners Featured in Variety’s Dealmakers Impact Report

CENTURY CITY—December 14, 2016—O’Melveny partners Matthew Erramouspe, Stephen Scharf, Bruce Tobey, and Amy Siegel are highlighted in the 2016 edition of Variety’s Dealmakers Impact Report. The annual report focuses on the “key players driving the most significant deals” in the entertainment space. The feature was unveiled and winners honored at a breakfast ceremony held December 14, 2016, in Beverly Hills. 

Erramouspe spoke with Variety for the report, telling the publication he predicts the acceleration of technology companies “going Hollywood in a big way” with acquisitions, as well as in-house content production. He further anticipates that the list of tech outfits to be acquired could include Chinese players. Tobey echoed the importance of Chinese players, saying Hollywood’s exports to China are broadening “from just new theatrical releases to other types of filmed entertainment such as library product and television programs, and sporting events.”

Erramouspe, Scharf, and Tobey are co-chairs, and Siegel is a partner in O’Melveny’s Entertainment, Sports, and Media Practice. They reside in O’Melveny’s Century City office.
