Lavelle Named to “Young Guns of Secondaries” List by Secondaries Investor and Private Equity InternationalAugust 30, 2018

LONDON—August 29, 2018—O’Melveny counsel Mary Lavelle has been named to this year’s “Young Guns of Secondaries” list by Secondaries Investor and its sister publication, Private Equity International.
The list, which recognizes 20 of the industry’s most accomplished professionals age 35 and under, was compiled by a panel of the two publications’ editorial staff. Recipients were evaluated “on deals, leadership and innovation, institutional clout and the elusive X-factor.” The full list will appear in a special secondaries edition of PEI in September.
London-based Lavelle is a rising star of the secondaries market known for her ability to move seamlessly between buy-side and sell-side work. She also advises both general partners and limited partners in restructurings and liquidity offers and separately managed accounts for secondary investments. Her practice is backed by in-house experience, including secondments at one of the world's premier secondaries funds as well as a major development finance institution active in the secondary markets. Before joining O’Melveny, Lavelle worked in a leading investment funds and financial services practice in London.
In recognizing her, the editors wrote that Lavelle, “is perhaps best known for her work with O’Melveny client and secondaries behemoth Coller Capital, for which she has worked on 35 deals and related transactions. The Oxford graduate’s deal history includes some complex transactions, such as an acquisition of a multi-jurisdictional portfolio of non-performing loans and real estate-owned assets from a European bank.”
