Lawyers of Color Names Bartie One of “Nation’s Best”

NEW YORK—June 13, 2019—O’Melveny partner Jared Bartie has been named to the Washington, DC-based organization Lawyers of Color’s inaugural “Nation’s Best” list. The list recognizes attorneys who have achieved noteworthy accomplishments and a commitment to diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

“I am incredibly honored by this recognition,” said Bartie. “Like Lawyers of Color, I believe deeply in the need for greater diversity in the legal profession and will continue to work toward that goal.”

A nationally recognized sports attorney and co-chair of O’Melveny’s Sports Industry Group, Bartie represents domestic and international clients on a variety of high-profile matters. He has also developed a robust practice in the burgeoning esports industry.

He has been named a “Dealmaker” by Variety, a “Power-Player” by SportsBusiness Journal, “Sports Attorney of the Year” by the National Bar Association, and one of the “Most Influential Black Lawyers in America” by Savoy Magazine. Bartie is also a founding member of the African American History and Culture Endowed Scholarship at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
