The Legal 500 Names Four O’Melveny Partners to Hall of FameMarch 24, 2017
LOS ANGELES—March 24, 2017—The Legal 500 honors O’Melveny partners Walter Dellinger, Rich Goetz, Luc Moritz, and Daniel Petrocelli in its inaugural Hall of Fame. The Legal 500 Hall of Fame highlights individuals who have received constant praise from their clients for continued excellence and who are “at the pinnacle of the profession.”
Dellinger is an influential authority on appellate and Supreme Court decisions, lending his experience as a former Solicitor General and decades of legal knowledge to amicus briefs, a multitude of pro bono clients, and public and private companies involved in bet-the-company litigation. He also serves as the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion partner.
Goetz co-chairs O’Melveny’s Consumer Class Actions and Product Liability/Mass Tort Practices, serves on the firm’s Executive Committee, and defends some of the world’s best-known businesses—including pharmaceutical, medical device, computer, insurance, consumer products, and food companies—in complex, multimillion-dollar legal challenges.
Taking an analytic and strategic approach, Moritz focuses on tax issues arising in international transactions, both inbound and outbound, on matters ranging from financings to joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions. In particular, he has done substantial work on major infrastructure development projects in the United States and abroad.
Petrocelli is chair of the firm’s Trial Practice Committee. He has a national trial practice representing clients in major litigation in a wide variety of areas, including sports, entertainment, intellectual property, unfair competition, business torts, securities, employment law, and criminal defense.
