Los Angeles Business Journal Names Eric Richards Lawyer of the Year

Richards is highlighted in LABJ’s October 24, 2016, Leaders in Law feature. The profile notes that “Richards has been instrumental in bringing the public-private partnerships financing model – which has been successful in funding developments across Europe, UK, and Australia – to sophisticated transportation enterprise and social infrastructure projects in the US.” The publication points to Richards’ recent work guiding LaGuardia Gateway Partners in its winning bid and financial close for the complete redevelopment and long-term operation of the Central Terminal Building at New York LaGuardia Airport. 

“The redevelopment of LaGuardia’s Central Terminal Building will be a landmark transaction and become the largest public-private partnership to be undertaken anywhere in the world,” the article said.

Richards’ practice focuses on project finance and infrastructure investment and development. Eric represents sponsors, developers, investors, financial institutions, and others in investment-related transactions involving infrastructure assets across a wide range of sectors. He is based in O’Melveny’s Los Angeles office.
