O’Melveny Achieves Perfect Score in 2014 Corporate Equality Index

LOS ANGELES, CA – December 10, 2013 – For the second consecutive year, O’Melveny & Myers LLP has achieved a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2014 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) workplace equality administered annually by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.  The Firm also maintained its designation as a “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.”

The 2014 CEI rated 934 businesses in the report, including 145 law firms.  To achieve a perfect score and the coveted distinction of “Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality,” firms must have non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, and competency programs, and demonstrate public engagement with the LGBT community.
