O’Melveny Adding Patent Litigation Partner to Silicon Valley Office

8月 11, 2016

SILICON VALLEY ─ August 11, 2016 O’Melveny is bringing deep experience to its Silicon Valley patent litigation bench with the addition of partner Vision Winter. Winter, who transfers from the firm’s Los Angeles office, is an experienced litigator who helps technology companies protect their intellectual property in patent, trade secret, and other disputes.

“Patent and other IP lawsuits follow the kind of new technology and advancements many of the companies in Silicon Valley are making every day,” Winter said. “Our clients are looking for real legal strategies on how to protect their intellectual property and, when necessary, how to win these types of lawsuits. I’m excited to be an on-the-ground resource for Silicon Valley clients.”

A registered professional chemical engineer in the State of California, Winter worked at Procter & Gamble as a power and controls project engineer before joining O'Melveny. He draws on his extensive professional engineering background to help technology companies protect their corporate assets. He also is a registered lawyer with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

“Vision’s corporate experience gives him insight into what our clients are looking for in their lawyers—well-reasoned legal recommendations from an attorney who understands their technology and puts client service above all else,” said Eric Amdursky, managing partner of the Silicon Valley office. “His addition to our Silicon Valley office enhances what we can offer these global innovators who are facing increasingly sophisticated litigation.”
