O’Melveny Advises WVID on Development Agreement for Atlanta Braves Training Complex

NEW YORK, NY—September 19, 2017—O’Melveny, together with local co-counsel, represented the West Villages Improvement District (WVID), in the negotiation of an agreement for the development of the Atlanta Braves Spring Training Complex in Sarasota County, Florida. The WVID is a limited, single, and specialized purpose Local Government that was created to assure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality design and implementation of infrastructure for the District located in Sarasota County. 

Under the terms of the agreement, the WVID will be responsible for the design and construction of the training facility. The estimated US$100 million project is expected to be completed in January 2019.
