NEW YORK, NY - O’Melveny & Myers LLP Senior Counsel Demetrios Xistris, a founding member of the Structured Products Association, will lead a wide-ranging panel discussion covering the future of derivatives and structured products at the Sixth Annual Conference of the Structured Products Association. The conference, to be held Monday, March 23 in New York City, is among the structured products industry’s most widely anticipated annual events.

Xistris’s panel will focus on the industry’s top-of-mind issue: the impact of the current liquidity crunch and the effects of massive capital markets dislocations on securities and over-the-counter asset pricing, valuation, risk management tools, and termination and closeout methodologies. Senior representatives from Apollo Capital Management, BNP Paribas, Future Value Consultants, KBC Financial Products, and MARV-Southridge will join Xistris in exploring how recent market events have tested the structured products industry’s financial models, transaction documentation, and trading relationships.

O’Melveny’s Derivatives and Structured Products team is comprised of seasoned lawyers practicing in the world’s key financial centers — New York, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. The group combines a keen understanding of the factors that drive success in complex financial arrangements with the capability to assist clients with robust fund formation, regulatory, and securitization matters. The group’s global reach, diverse experience, and business acumen help clients move swiftly to capitalize upon opportunities wherever and whenever they arise.
