LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA ─ APRIL 11, 2012 ─ O’Melveny & Myers LLP launched a comprehensive work place flexibility program yesterday known as “CustOMMize.” CustOMMize allows O’Melveny associates and counsel to consider a greater range of options for managing their personal and professional lives. These choices will support retention of associates and counsel by enabling them to tailor their schedules in a way that meets personal demands and client needs.   

 

CustOMMize has several unique features, including a job share program and a 2-year sabbatical program called “Bridges.” Bridges will allow lawyers to explore other interests while remaining O’Melveny lawyers who can transition back to the firm seamlessly following their sabbatical. CustOMMize also formalizes O’Melveny’s long-standing commitment to flexible work schedules and telecommuting while retaining its reduced workload and “phase back” (i.e., returning to work on a reduced workload after a leave of absence) programs that were already in place.
