LOS ANGELES -- JUNE 7, 2012 --
O'Melveny & Myers LLP made a strong showing in the 2012 edition of Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, with 63 lawyers and 35 practice areas recognized. Three O'Melveny practices are ranked in the top tier of leading practices in the guide; among those, one is ranked in the top tier nationally. The guide also ranks 11 O'Melveny lawyers in the top tier of leading lawyers, with four listed in the top tier nationally.

Published by Chambers and Partners, a noted authority and independent source for the legal industry, Chambers USA is unique in that entry into the guide is based solely on market recommendation by clients and lawyers across the US.

The three O’Melveny practice areas ranked in the top tier in the guide are: ERISA Litigation (nationwide); Litigation: General Commercial: Highly Regarded (New York); and Media & Entertainment: Transactional (California).  Antitrust: Cartel (nationwide) is included in the spotlight table.

The 11 O'Melveny lawyers the guide ranks in the top tier for their respective practice areas are: Seth Aronson, Daniel Bookin, Joseph Calabrese, Howard Chao, Martin Dunn, Theodore Kassinger, Greta Lichtenbaum, Ben Logan, Richard Parker, Daniel Petrocelli, and Richard Shutran.  Walter Dellinger was named as a “Senior Statesman” in the Nationwide Appellate Law category.  In addition, special recognition was given to partner Bob Eccles who was designated with a “Star Individuals’” ranking in the category of Nationwide ERISA Litigation.  These rankings are given to lawyers with exceptional recommendations in their field.  Apalla Chopra, Jonathan Hacker, and Rob Plesnarski were recognized by Chambers USA as "Up and Coming" in their practice areas.  Hacker and Tancred Schiavoni, who was ranked in Band 3 for Energy: Electricity (Regulatory & Litigation) and Insurance: Dispute Resolution: Insurer, made their debut appearance in this year’s guide.
