NEW YORK, NY ─ December 10, 2012 ─ O’Melveny & Myers LLP is pleased to announce that six new partners will be admitted to the Firm, effective January 1, 2013. Earning a place in O’Melveny’s 2013 partner class are: Christopher Del Rosso (Newport Beach), Houman Ehsan (Los Angeles), Carlos Lazatin (Los Angeles), David Leviss (Washington, DC), Wenseng “Wendy” Pan (Shanghai), and Daniel Quinn (London).

Christopher Del Rosso is a member of the Firm’s Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits team and resides in O’Melveny’s Newport Beach office. Del Rosso advises public and private companies on how to structure their executive compensation plans and arrangements, and advises clients on executive compensation-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, public offerings, and other corporate transactions. He also advises clients on Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, and corporate governance, tax, and ERISA issues related to executive compensation and the investment of pension plan assets. Del Rosso joined O’Melveny in 2006. He earned a J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown in 2002 and a B.S., magna cum laude, from Georgetown in 1998. He also is a certified public accountant.
Houman Ehsan resides in the Firm’s Los Angeles office, where he practices in the Class Actions, Mass Torts, and Insurance Litigation Group. Ehsan focuses on health care litigation defense; as a medical doctor and a lawyer with an M.B.A., he provides unique analysis of legal and factual issues involving technical medical or scientific components inherent in health care litigation. Ehsan joined O’Melveny in 2004. In 2003, he received a J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, as well as an M.B.A. from USC’s Marshall School of Business. Ehsan also earned an M.D. from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine in 1999. His post graduate training was in internal medicine. He attended the University of California at Berkeley as an undergraduate, receiving a B.A. in 1995.
Carlos Lazatin is a member of the Class Actions, Mass Torts, and Insurance Litigation Practice with a particular focus on class action and consumer product litigation. He resides in the Firm’s Los Angeles office. Lazatin has extensive experience defending clients in class action and products liability cases, including multidistrict products liability litigation and actions brought under California’s unfair competition and false advertising statutes. He also has represented clients in a number of copyright, trademark, and intellectual property disputes. Lazatin is a veteran of the Trial Advocacy Prosecution Program (TAPP) and his substantial pro bono commitment also has included work as part of the UCLA Ninth Circuit Appellate Advocacy Clinic. Lazatin joined O’Melveny in 2003 after receiving a J.D. the same year from Harvard Law School, cum laude. He earned an A.B., magna cum laude, from Princeton University in 1999.
David Leviss resides in the Firm’s Washington, DC office, where he practices in the White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations Group. Leviss defends corporations and individuals from whistleblower qui tam actions and civil and criminal enforcement actions. He also represents corporations, institutions, and individuals in high-profile congressional investigations. Prior to joining O’Melveny in 2011, Leviss served as a Trial Attorney with the Civil Division of the Department of Justice and then held high-ranking investigative positions on US House of Representatives committees. Leviss clerked for The Honorable Colleen McMahon of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York after receiving a J.D. in 1997 from New York University School of Law, where he was a Brennan Fellow. In 1992 he received a B.A., magna cum laude, from Amherst College.
Wenseng “Wendy” Pan is a member of the Transactions Department and resides in the Firm’s Shanghai office. Pan’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and technology-based transactions. She has broad experience in both private and public mergers and acquisitions, including leveraged buy-outs, stock and/or cash acquisitions, asset sales and acquisitions, mergers, tender offers, and going-private transactions. She advises life sciences companies and technology companies on product and technology licensing, strategic partnerships, and joint venture formations, and research, product development, and commercialization collaborations. Pan joined O’Melveny in 2011. She earned a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where she was a Stone scholar and editor of the Journal of Asian Law, a Ph.D. in chemistry also from Columbia University, and a B.S. from Fudan University. She also is admitted before the US PTO.
Daniel Quinn resides in the London office, where he practices in the Firm’s Investment Funds Group. Quinn has extensive experience with all aspects of private equity, including fund formation, and mergers and acquisitions transactions ranging from secondary transactions, cross-border leveraged buyouts, disposals, and syndications. He has advised investment managers on a wide range of fund formation matters, including establishing secondaries funds, buyout funds, alternative asset funds, green energy and infrastructure funds, emerging market funds, and distressed debt funds. He also has acted for a broad range of private equity investors on various aspects of their investment programs. Quinn joined O’Melveny in 2005 and earned a Diploma in Professional Legal Practice in 1999 and an LL.B., with First Class Honours, in 1998 from The University of Edinburgh.
