LOS ANGELES ─ December 2, 2013 ─ O’Melveny & Myers LLP has been named a finalist for the best mentoring program by Chambers USA as part of its Chambers Women in Law awards. The winners will be announced in New York on January 21, 2014, at The Harvard Club.

In its third year, the awards reflect outstanding contributions to furthering the advancement of women in the law through gender diversity, mentoring, and pro bono work. There are also awards for law firms that provide a work environment in which female talent can thrive.

O’Melveny was chosen for the Firm’s commitment to mentoring as a critical component of talent development. The Firm’s Talent Development department has adopted a firmwide approach to mentoring, which is reflected in key programs: the New Associate Mentoring Program, the Midlevel Associate Advisor Program, New/Lateral Partner Advisor Program, Take a Partner/Lateral to Lunch Program, and the newest addition, “March Mentoring Madness.” O’Melveny’s mentoring programs also were recently awarded the “Best International Mentoring Program” award at Euromoney Legal Media Group’s 2013 Americas Women in Business Law Awards.
