NEWPORT BEACH, CA ─ APRIL 5, 2011 - O'Melveny & Myers LLP has named Jeff Walbridge managing partner of its Newport Beach office. Walbridge also is Chair of the Firm’s Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Practice.

Walbridge counsels clients from across the country on compensation and benefits issues in the context of mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private equity investments, and other corporate transactions. He is highly sought out by boards of directors for advice on addressing executive compensation matters, executive succession and transition issues, and related corporate governance matters.

“Jeff is a highly successful partner in our Tax Practice and is a nationally recognized expert in complex executive compensation and employee benefits matters. He has made many significant contributions in Newport Beach and firmwide and we are very fortunate to have him in this position,” said Arthur B. Culvahouse Jr., chair of the Firm.

Walbridge joined the Firm in 1995 and has cultivated strong relationships with clients such as Apollo Global Management, Edison International, Health Care Property Investors, Northrop Grumman, Warner Bros., Western Digital, and Yahoo!, among many others.

Walbridge will continue promoting O’Melveny’s Newport Beach office’s extensive roots into Orange County as the office is committed to helping its clients on a local and international stage.
