NEW YORK, NEW YORK ─ OCTOBER 18, 2011 ─ Donors’ Forum, a roundtable of grant making foundations in the Greater New York Area, has elevated O’Melveny & Myers LLP partner Timothy M. Clark to the role of President. Stanley Goldstein, founder of the organization, will continue as Chairman.

 

Donors’ Forum strives to increase the efficacy of its members’ giving through discussions among the participants and insights gleaned from outside speakers. The group emphasizes internal education, best practices, and raising the professional profile of philanthropy. Recent speakers have been experts on autism, alzheimer’s, the NYC school system, and evaluating the impacts of individual grants.

 

Clark is a partner in the law firm of O’Melveny & Myers LLP and is a member of the Firm’s Investment Funds Practice. Clark is a regular speaker on private fund related topics and is a member of The New York Hedge Fund Roundtable. His prior involvement in philanthropy includes Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City and pro bono legal representations including setting up and forming various non-profit entities for charitable organizations.

 

In addition to Donors’ Forum, Goldstein was also the founder of the accounting firm Goldstein Golub & Kessler (now part of McGladrey & Pullen) and The New York Hedge Fund Roundtable.
