O’Melveny Ranked Bankruptcy Litigation Law Firm of the Year by US News – Best Lawyers

Los Angeles—November 1, 2016—O’Melveny made a strong showing in the 2017 edition of US News – Best Lawyers “Best Firms” list. The annual list, which was published in print and online November 1, 2016, ranks 27 practice areas nationwide and dozens more by metropolitan area. In addition, O’Melveny was named Law Firm of the Year in the category of Litigation - Bankruptcy; only one law firm receives this designation nationwide.

The firm is one of only six to have been honored with this prestigious recognition in this area of practice since the inception of “Best Law Firms” in 2010. Awards are determined by a number of factors, including client evaluations, practice area chairs and managing partner reviews, and peer attorney feedback. For the Seventh Edition of “Best Law Firms,” 13,803 firms in the US were eligible for recognition.

Practice area rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process.
