WASHINGTON, DC ─ JUNE 22, 2010 O’Melveny & Myers LLP received two Silver Awards for “Best US Antitrust & Competition Firm” and “Best US International Arbitration Firm” at the International Legal Alliance Summit & Awards, held on June 3 in Paris, France.

A panel of approximately 100 in-house counsel, along with senior financial executives, selected the top independent law firms in 28 categories based on their excellent client results from the previous year and outstanding performance in management and leadership.

“We are honored to receive the Silver Award, which is testament to our sustained success in helping  our clients effectively navigate the most complex antitrust and competition issues they face worldwide," said Richard Parker, Co-Chair of the Firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice.

This award from the International Legal Alliance follows a long string of recent accolades for members of the Firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice over the past year, including: being shortlisted for the Chambers USA 2010 Award for Excellence in Antitrust; being named "Competition Team of the Year" at The Lawyer Awards 2010, as well as being shortlisted for the "Partner of the Year" award (Riccardo Celli); and chosen as “Best Law Firm in Washington DC for Antitrust Work 2009/10” by Corporate INTL Magazine.

Reacting to the International Arbitration Practice's Silver Award, Practice Chair Steven Smith said: "It's very gratifying that our record of consistently delivering winning results for our clients in high-stakes disputes before international tribunals has been recognized."

O’Melveny’s International Arbitration Practice has consistently been included in the GAR 100 collection of the world's leading specialist arbitration practices by the prestigious arbitration publication, Global Arbitration Review.

Brad Butwin, Chair of the Firm’s Litigation Department, added, "These are well-deserved recognitions for the lawyers in our Antitrust and Competition and International Arbitration Practices, who routinely provide the excellent advice and representation that produces so many significant litigation victories for our clients."
