O’Melveny & Myers LLP
NEW YORK, NY ─ January 2, 2014 ─ O’Melveny & Myers LLP again has been selected one of the country’s top litigation firms by The American Lawyer magazine. As a finalist in the publication’s 2014 “Litigation Department of the Year” competition, O’Melveny maintains its streak as one of just two firms to have been named a winner, finalist, or honorable mention recipient in every year of the contest’s history.
“It is an honor to be recognized year after year for our top-tier litigation department,” said Bradley J. Butwin, Chair of O’Melveny & Myers. “We have been a fixture in this prestigious competition because of our versatility, excellence, innovativeness, and ability to partner with clients.”
In The American Lawyer’s January 2014 profile of the Firm, titled “Keeping the Faith,” the magazine notes that O’Melveny extended its “litigation hot streak” with a string of “stunning wins for some of the firm’s most important clients.” The article also includes comments from O’Melveny clients praising the Firm’s innovation and “finely tuned sense of when to fight and when to settle.”
Every two years, The American Lawyer invites members of its AmLaw 200 list to submit a report detailing their significant litigation achievements. The magazine conducted interviews with clients and opposing counsel before choosing a winner and five finalists.
