O’Melveny To Welcome Investment Funds Partner in London

LONDON ─ JULY 28, 2015 ─ O’Melveny & Myers LLP is pleased to announce Eve Ellis will return to the Firm’s London office as a partner in the Investment Funds Practice Group as of October 8. Ellis will join O’Melveny from Mishcon de Reya in London, where she was a partner and served as co-head of the Funds and Financial Services Group.

An O’Melveny alumna, Ellis has special expertise advising clients on evolving UK financial services regulatory matters related to funds and other financial institutions. She regularly advises clients on the EU’s Alternative Investment Funds Management Directive (AIFMD); the need for regulatory approval; compliance with regulators’ rules; anti-money laundering issues; and marketing of financial products. Ellis has experience with international investment funds — with particular emphasis on private equity — as well as with real estate, hedge, and emerging markets funds. In addition, she has acted for a number of institutional investors in secondary transactions, counseling them in relation to private equity funds, including sovereign wealth funds, funds of funds, and pension funds.

Admitted to practice in England and Wales, Ellis has been recognized in Chambers UK for her work on private equity funds, and she is a frequent speaker on funds regulatory topics.
