LONDON ─ JULY 13, 2015 ─ O’Melveny & Myers LLP is pleased to announce that Andrew Weiler, an experienced M&A and corporate finance lawyer, has joined the Firm’s London office as a partner. He serves as the Firm’s European Head of M&A and Corporate Finance.
Weiler is dual-qualified in both New York and England and Wales, and focuses his practice on representing multinational companies and private equity firms in M&A and joint venture transactions as well as advising some of the world’s largest funds of funds on secondary acquisitions of private equity interests. He also is widely recognized as one of Europe’s leading issuer-side advisors in the cross-border private placement market. As a U.S. and U.K. citizen, Weiler has practiced in London for more than 17 years, having previously worked in New York, Stockholm, and Helsinki. He is recommended as a leading lawyer by Chambers, Legal 500, and IFLR 1000, among others.
Weiler earned his B.A. from Dartmouth College and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as editor of the Duke Law Journal and chair of the Moot Court Board.
