NEW YORK — July 11, 2016 — O'Melveny counsel Desmond Ang was named to the committee of HK45, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre’s group for young arbitration practitioners in Asia and beyond.
Based in Hong Kong and Singapore, Ang focuses on international commercial arbitration, with an emphasis on high-stakes disputes involving business relationships and investments with companies in China, Japan, and South Korea.
Ang joins an elite group of people on this committee who represent law firms, barristers’ chambers, and litigation funders. HK45, which is open to students, practitioners, and young professionals in the arbitration community, aims to promote the use of arbitration and Hong Kong as a seat, and to provide a platform for members to learn from each other and leading professionals.
