LOS ANGELES, CA - NOVEMBER 26, 2012 - O’Melveny & Myers LLP garnered several important diversity recognitions this quarter, earning top rankings from The American Lawyer and Corporate Counsel, the Black Solicitors’ Network, and Profiles in Diversity Journal.
The Diversity Scorecard, a joint project of The American Lawyer and Corporate Counsel magazines, placed O’Melveny on the publications’ 2012 list of the Top Firms for Diversity. The Firm will be honored at a reception on December 20, 2012, held at the Lexicon in New York City. For the third consecutive year, O’Melveny received top scores in the Black Solicitors’ Network’s Diversity League Table, which measures diversity within firms with offices in the United Kingdom. The Firm was recognized in the following categories:1st overall for International Firms; 1st for percentage of Ethnic Minority Partners; 2nd for percentage of Ethnic Minority Associates, 6th for percentage of Female Partners; and 4th overall for Diversity Demographics. And thirdly, Profiles in Diversity Journal named O’Melveny one if its Diversity Leaders for 2012. The award honors corporations, organizations, and institutions that have communicated their diversity and inclusion programs and ideas with the publication’s readership throughout the year.
