CENTURY CITY -- November 18, 2015 --
O’Melveny & Myers LLP’s Daniel Petrocelli was named a Leading Entertainment Lawyer in California by the Daily Journal. Petrocelli is the Chair of O’Melveny’s Trial Practice Committee and one of the top litigators in the nation on a wide variety of matters, including sports, entertainment, intellectual property, unfair competition, business torts, securities, employment law, and criminal defense.

Petrocelli is recognized in the special report for both his current work—achieving an appellate court victory for Warner Bros. in a long-running case over the copyrights to the iconic Superman character and representing Sirius XM in three cases involving alleged infringement of a claimed performance right for sound recordings made before 1972—and some of his most famous work—representing Ron Goldman's heirs in their successful civil suit against O.J. Simpson for the wrongful death of their son and Nicole Brown Simpson.

Petrocelli said in the article that his practice, which extends far beyond entertainment, “cuts across the entire industry, from TV to sports to movies to media to music. The cases keep us all busy, but every time a client wants to retain me, I feel privileged to get the call.”
