NEW YORK ─ May 19, 2015 ─
O’Melveny & Myers partner Danielle Gray has been named to The National Law Journal’s 2015 Outstanding Woman Lawyers list spotlighting the “most accomplished female attorneys in the legal profession today.” The publication’s editors selected the honorees from hundreds of nominations across private practice, corporate counsel, public interest, academia, and the judiciary to select the 75 most outstanding women lawyers in the United States. Nominees were evaluated on a variety of factors including their development of successful practices, attainment of professional leadership roles, performance in significant cases, influence and stature in the public sector, representation of the underserved or indigent, and demonstrated efforts to improve diversity in the profession.

The National Law Journal noted that Gray “inspires high praise from high places,” including from President Barack Obama, who has heralded her "brilliant legal mind, her mastery of complex policy, her sense of humor [and] her fundamental decency." Gray returned to O'Melveny last year after holding senior legal and policy positions in the Obama Administration, where she advised the president on matters including the Affordable Care Act and assisted in the selection and confirmation of Supreme Court justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.

At O'Melveny, Gray provides counseling to financial services institutions, health-care companies, and other businesses on complex legal, policy, and regulatory issues, and represents companies and institutions in internal investigations and government enforcement actions. A member of the Financial Services and White Collar and Corporate Investigations Practices, Danielle is also a founding member of the Firm’s Data Security and Privacy Practice, where she advises companies on cyber risk-management, governance, and incident response. Gray also is a lead member of O’Melveny’s Community Legal Services Committee, and develops high-impact pro bono legal service opportunities for the Firm.
