O’Melveny’s Joshi Named 2013 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow

WASHINGTON, DC ─ MARCH 4, 2013 ─ O’Melveny & Myers LLP is proud to announce that Aparna Joshi has been selected for the 2013 Fellows Program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), a national organization made up of the legal profession’s top general counsels and managing partners.
“Aparna Joshi embodies the true spirit of the LCLD,” said Mary Ellen Connerty, director of Diversity and Inclusion at O’Melveny. “A leader by example, Aparna will thrive in the collaborative environment of the brightest minds in the legal profession and bring back that energy to O’Melveny and to our clients.”
Joshi is a partner in O’Melveny's Washington, DC office and a member of the Labor and Employment Practice. She represents employers in labor arbitrations, mediations, negotiations and litigation under the Railway Labor Act and has substantial experience representing employers in a wide variety of employment discrimination matters, ranging from counseling to class action litigation matters.
According to LCLD Executive Director Robert J. Grey, Jr., the LCLD Fellows Program offers participants “an extraordinarily rich year of relationship-building, virtual and in-person training, peer-group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership.”
The previous years’ LCLD classes included O’Melveny partners Catalina Vergara and Sean Monroe. O'Melveny’s former chair Arthur B. Culvahouse Jr. is a charter member of LCLD’s Board of Directors.
