WHAT: O'Melveny & Myers LLP partner Nathan Bush is available to discuss recent policy trends impacting foreign companies and investors in China.

WHY: Bush has identified policy trends that have emerged in light of the enactment of the People’s Republic of China’s Antimonopoly Law and he is available to discuss the following:

  1. Tensions between China's Antimonopoly Law and industrial policies favoring "indigenous innovation;"
  2. The real significance of China's new law against bribing foreign government officials and recent anticorruption enforcement initiatives;
  3. The impact of state secrecy measures on investments, investigations, and litigation in China; the implications of the new national security review procedures for foreign investment strategies; and
  4. Lessons from the current wave of securities fraud cases involving Chinese companies--and the reaction of the US and Chinese governments.

WHO: Bush is a partner in the Litigation Department in O'Melveny's Beijing office. He was based in the Washington, DC office before relocating to Beijing in 2004. Bush's practice focuses on regulatory investigations and litigation concerning: antitrust and competition; corruption and fraud; and international trade policy. He frequently publishes and speaks on competition and trade policy in Asia. He has served as General Counsel of the American Chamber of Commerce in China since 2008.

If you’d like to speak with Bush about these policy trends, please contact Andrea Rodeschini or Piper Hall at the numbers listed above to arrange an interview.
