Portnoi Named Among MCCA’s 2017 Rising Stars
August 21, 2017FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Los Angeles—August 21, 2017—O’Melveny counsel Dimitri Portnoi is among the Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s 2017 Rising Stars. Portnoi is one of only 11 lawyers nationwide, selected from more than 150 nominations, to make the list, which was published in the Summer 2017 issue of Diversity & The Bar.
In addition to his extensive corporate client work in the firm’s Litigation and Water practices, Portnoi’s Rising Stars profile highlighted his pro bono service as a “champion of the voiceless” and his mentorship efforts.
“As I’ve become more senior at O’Melveny, I’ve worked hard to mentor both my colleagues and students in Los Angeles,” Portnoi said. “I think carefully about how the firm can make sure the best talent can rise to the top and how students can be best equipped for what is undoubtedly a challenging profession.”
Based in Los Angeles, Portnoi is an experienced litigator who represents clients in a wide range of complex business litigation, financial service, and entertainment matters, including consumer class actions, unfair competition, business torts, fraud, and contract and related commercial litigation. He was named one of the “Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40” by the National LGBT Bar Association in 2016.
