Savoy Magazine Names Jared Bartie One of the Most Influential Black Lawyers in America

NEW YORK—JUNE 28, 2018—O’Melveny partner Jared F. Bartie has been named one of 2018’s “Most Influential Black Lawyers” in America by Savoy Magazine.

The prestigious list, which features top partners from leading national law firms and corporate counsel from Fortune 1000 companies, comprises what the magazine calls “an influential cross section of legal professionals representing a diverse range of expertise with national and global responsibilities.”

Bartie, a partner in O’Melveny’s Entertainment, Sports & Media Practice, is a nationally recognized sports attorney. His career uniquely encompasses both legal and business professional sports and entertainment experience. He represents domestic and international clients on high profile matters, including professional sports team investments, stadium and arena transactions, prominent facility naming rights and sponsorship deals, and complex media rights agreements.

Bartie has also been at the vanguard of attorneys advising clients within the burgeoning eSports industry. Within eSports, he has represented domestic and international clients on team investments, entry and participation negotiations into top eSports leagues, team financings, corporate sponsorships, player contract negotiations, and arena development matters.

Bartie’s experience includes serving as general counsel to the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats. He was also a senior executive in the NBA’s team marketing and business operations group.
