LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- DECEMBER 14, 2010 -- Warren Christopher, a senior partner in the Century City office of O’Melveny & Myers LLP and former United States Secretary of State, stated today:
“Ambassador Richard Holbrooke’s crowning achievement was the Dayton Accords bringing peace to the Balkans in 1995. No other diplomat would have had the force of personality to produce agreements among the strong willed Presidents Milosovec, Izetbegovic, and Tudjman. His death removes from the scene one of the most memorable foreign policy figures of our generation.”
