Los Angeles, CA - August 16, 2010 - The Weingart Center Association recently announced that O’Melveny & Myers LLP partner Stephen Scharf has joined the Weingart Center’s board of directors, adding to an existing list of executives from a myriad of industries.
Scharf is a member of O’Melveny’s Entertainment, Sports and Media practice, and resides in the Firm’s Century City office. His particular focus is in transactions related to the financing of studios, partnerships, film sales and individual motion picture productions. Scharf regularly works on a number of international motion picture financing transactions in the UK, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, and China. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Stanford University Law School.
“I was overwhelmed by the importance of the Weingart Center's mission, and the tremendous dedication of its people,” Scharf said of his decision to join the board.
