SAN FRANCISCO, CA ─ November 11, 2010 ─ O'Melveny & Myers LLP partner Suzzanne Uhland will be inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy during its 2011 induction ceremony at the United States Supreme Court in Washington, DC.

Founded in 1989, the American College of Bankruptcy "honors exceptional bankruptcy professionals for their work, their contributions to the administration of justice, their public service and their integrity; and employs the talents, resources and good will of its Fellows to promote professional excellence, collegiality, scholarship and access to justice." The College has approximately 650 Fellows that are selected by a Board of Regents from among recommendations received from the Circuit Admissions Council in each federal judicial circuit. Fellows are extended an invitation to join the College based on a proven record of the highest standards of professionalism and contributions to the enhancement of bankruptcy and insolvency scholarship, education, and processes.

Partner Ben Logan is pleased, but not surprised, with Uhland's induction. "I could not be more delighted that Suzzanne will be joining the American College of Bankruptcy as a Fellow—delighted for her in that she will be joining such a distinguished group and delighted for the College in that it will be adding such an outstanding Fellow," he said.

Uhland is Chair of the Firm's Restructuring Practice and a member of the Policy Committee. She has substantial experience in Chapter 11 reorganizations and out-of-court restructurings and represents buyers and sellers in Bankruptcy Code Section 363(b) sales and other distress transactions. Uhland has a significant range of experience in real estate, technology, retail, and healthcare financings and restructurings.

Uhland is recognized by Chambers and Partners USA (2008-2010) for her restructuring work, was selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America, was named by Orange Coast Magazine as one of the Best Lawyers in Orange County, and is listed in Who’s Who Legal Insolvency & Restructuring in California.
