In response to today's jury decision in the Rambus Inc. v. Micron Technology Inc. case, Hynix Semiconductor issues the following statement. Please attribute it to O.C. Kwon, CEO of Hynix Semiconductor Inc.

Today, a San Francisco jury rejected Rambus’s claims that Hynix Semiconductor and Micron Technology conspired to prevent Rambus’s proprietary DRAM technology, RDRAM, from becoming the standard computer memory technology.  Rambus had claimed $3.95 billion in damages.

Hynix Semiconductor Inc. is issuing the following statement:

“Hynix is grateful for the jury’s verdict today, which rejected Rambus’s meritless claim that Hynix was to blame for the failure of Rambus’s proprietary RDRAM technology to become the standard for computer main memory,” said O.C. Kwon, CEO of Hynix Semiconductor Inc.
