Allison Smith represents clients in a range of litigation matters, with a focus in the areas of antitrust and competition. Allison has represented clients in federal district and appellate courts and regulatory matters.

Allison was a key member of the team that won summary judgment for Samsung, defeating antitrust conspiracy claims seeking more than $1 billion in actual damages and $3 billion in trebled damages, a victory selected as a finalist for American Lawyer’s “Global Litigation/Dispute Resolution of the Year” award in 2018. She was also a member of the core trial team that successfully defended AT&T and Time Warner’s merger from a challenge by the US Department of Justice. She is currently representing a medical device manufacturer in defense of Sherman Act claims.

With her experience in economic consulting, Allison tackles complex economic problems facing her clients in antitrust matters and has extensive experience working with expert economists.

Allison also maintains an active pro bono practice. She has helped author amicus curiae briefs in the Sixth Circuit and DC Circuit and litigates animal rights cases.
