Angela Yung has broad experience in private equity funds, particularly in the European and emerging markets. She advises private equity fund managers on a range of fund formation matters and has acted as the lead counsel in various closings that have been reported in the media. Angela is experienced in establishing local and offshore mid-cap buy-out funds.

Angela has also acted for a broad range of investors, including investment banks, development finance institutions (DFIs) and sovereign wealth funds on matters relating to their private equity investments including GP removal matters. Angela has additionally provided training sessions to clients at their request.

  • Represented Egeria Capital Management in the fundraising of its PE funds, including Egeria Private Equity Fund V, which achieved a first and final closing in December 2017 in a record time of six weeks with commitments totalling €800 million.
  • Represented Adelis Equity Partners in the fundraising of its PE funds, including Adelis Equity Partners Fund II which closed on its hard cap of €600 million in June 2017.  This followed from the successful fundraise of Adelis Equity Partners I which was reported in Private Equity News as the then largest first-time fund raised in the Nordic region in the last decade with a hard cap of SEK 3,690 million (€420 million) in November 2013.
  • Represented ECM Equity Capital Management in the fundraising of its PE funds, including German Equity Partners V which closed in Q2 2018, with strong support from a diversified group of existing and new investors at hard cap of €325 million.
  • Represented Livingbridge in the fundraising of its PE funds, including its sixth flagship private equity fund, Livingbridge 6 LP, which was oversubscribed and closed incredibly quickly in 2016 with commitments totalling £660 million .
  • Acting for investors such as CDC Group Plc, GIC and Morgan Stanley AIP in reviewing and negotiating prospective fund investments.
