• Participated in a special investigation into the management of shareholders' meetings at a major Japanese company, and published an investigation report on corporate governance issues
• Advised both international and Japanese clients in their reorganization matters, including absorption-type company splits and dissolution / liquidation procedures under Japanese laws
• Represented both international and Japanese clients in their key transactions, including US$15 billion acquisition of a Japanese public company, and acquisition of US$200 million in loan receivables
• Worked with international investors in their finance transactions and real estate acquisitions of a large-scale commercial complex
• Advised a major consumer finance company for strategy development in nation-wide mass consumer litigations in Japan
• Represented international investors in its attempt to recover US$100 million in an investor fraud suit in Japan
• Represented asylum applicants and criminal defendants in pro bono matters, including representation of Columbian and Pakistani asylum applicants in Japan
