Hardy Ehlers is a general commercial litigator for a wide range of clients involved in high-stakes business disputes.  His trial, arbitration, and appellate practice focuses on intellectual property and contract matters, and on entertainment, private equity, and life-sciences industries.  Hardy has also worked extensively on pro bono matters, including successful First Amendment representation in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Prior to joining O’Melveny, Hardy attended Harvard Law School, where he focused on copyright and entertainment law—earning a Dean’s Scholar Prize for his work in Intellectual Property in the Digital Environment, and winning outright the 2012 GRAMMY Foundation Entertainment Law Initiative Writing Competition.  Hardy was also a member of the 2006 NCAA Division III championship tennis team at Emory University.
