Jonathan has successfully resolved investor class actions, merger litigation, and other complex business disputes, as well as civil fraud investigations, for prominent public companies and their officers and directors in a range of industries, including financial services and energy.
- Representing a footwear company and its board of directors in a securities class action suit and related matters.
- Representing a technology manufacturer and its board of directors in a securities class action suit in CA state court. Plaintiffs allege violations of the Securities Act of 1933.
- Representing a consumer electronics company on appeal in a securities derivative suit, where OMM obtained dismissal of the suit on a demurrer.
- Represented an oil and gas production company in defending a series of investor class actions challenging public disclosures in connection with the company’s purchase and merger of a series of previously independent limited partnerships
- Defended a publicly traded Fortune 500 company through trial in a complex merger litigation arising from its acquisition via mergers of several limited partnerships in which it served as the general partner
- Represented the former CEO of a financial services company in civil investigations led by the Department of Justice
- Represented affiliates of one of China’s largest conglomerates in M&A related litigation
- Represented the plaintiffs in a business dispute arising out of the termination and alleged squeeze-out of one of the founding members of a prominent investment management company
- On a pro bono basis, obtained an award from the Labor Commissioner on behalf of four former restaurant employees for the entire amount that clients sought.
