Nadia Farjood is a litigation counsel in O’Melveny’s Los Angeles office. She represents automotive, technology, healthcare, education, and public agency clients in regulatory and compliance matters, high-stakes complex litigation, employment disputes, and civil and criminal internal investigations. She has drafted and argued motions in state and district courts in a diverse array of civil matters.
Committed to equal justice and legal access, Nadia dedicates significant time to pro bono advocacy and community involvement. Passionate about immigration law, she represents applicants for asylum, cancellation of removal, and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (“SIJS”). She also serves as a volunteer attorney at the Legal Aid Society of San Diego and the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles Skid Row Legal Clinic, where she provides free legal services for individuals seeking eviction deferrals, restraining orders, and changes to their name or gender marker. She is currently representing civil rights organizations in investigating disparate law enforcement response to Black Lives Matter protests.
In law school, Nadia served as a student attorney at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau—the second largest civil legal aid organization in the greater Boston area—where she represented low-income domestic violence victims, immigrant youth, and tenants. She obtained a permanent restraining order for a domestic violence victim, deferred evictions, obtained favorable child support and alimony orders, and successfully represented SIJS clients. The Harvard Law School Clinical Program honored Nadia for dedicating more than 1,000 hours to pro bono legal service during law school.
She served as a law clerk for the Honorable André Birotte Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
- Represented a leading healthcare provider in a large-scale, multi-year investigation by the California Attorney General and multiple California District Attorneys into alleged violations of statutes governing the disposal of hazardous waste, medical waste, and confidential information
- Represented a large public entity in an employment dispute of a terminated government employee
- Represented the Regents of the University of California to review and report on allegations of misconduct in the clinical health setting
